PM Modi To Launch 200 Crore Gurugram Railway Station Renovation Project

As part of his plan to modernize the NCR railway stations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the groundwork for the reconstruction of Gurugram, Rewari, and Pataudi.

With a budget of 200 crores, the Gurugram railway station will be refurbished in two stages, while Pataudi and Rewari will receive upgrades with 7 and 12 crores of funding, respectively. Following his meeting with Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnav, Gurugram MP Rao Inderjeet Singh made this declaration.

Although Gurugram is a developing city, the basic design of the railway station has to be significantly updated. Despite the fact that building was already in progress, PM Modi will now start the extensive renovation project.

An increase in rail connectivity will have a significant positive impact on the emerging warehouse and freight routes in the region. The renovation project includes improvements to the waiting areas, footover bridge, train displays, and passenger seating arrangements.

The Gurgaon railway station will have a multitude of access and exit points. Information indicating the demand for Farukhnagar daily railway passengers was given to the Railway Minister, and the Garhi Harsaru to Farukhnagar-Delhi DEMU train was stopped during the COVID and has not yet been reinstated.

He advised that it start as soon as it is practical given the demand from the passengers. Additionally, the minister of transportation for railroads was informed of the requirement for an underpass and bridges at the railway stations in Bhimgarh Khedi and Garhi Harsaru.

The railway minister instructed the current officers to report to him as quickly as possible about the requests made. At the Rewari Railway Station, a washing facility was also planned to be built. The railway minister also revealed that the Vande Bharat train will make a stop at Rewari station beginning in August.
